Do you know what laws were just passed at the state and national level this past legislative session? If you do not have a team (or even one) lawyer on staff to keep up on employment law and legislative issues at your workplace, then you cannot afford to miss this program! In today’s ever-changing world of employment law, HR Professionals are usually the only one tasked at their company with staying on top of legislative issues in order to keep their workplaces compliant and out of court. While highlighting newly passed legislation in both our state and at the national level, Lara Makinen will outline how these new laws affect your workplace. By the end of the presentation, you will have learned about newly passed workplace laws from the 2017 legislative session as well as how to proactively prepare your workplace.
